Just missed playing in Brooklyn for the Dodgers. Came up with the LA Dodgers in September of 1958. Also, the only major league player ever to represent both Canadian franchises in an All-Star game. Was 81 years old. One of many USC alums who made it quickly to the majors.

Sorry I missed him in Brooklyn. He turned out to be a solid major league player. RIP.

Fairly was also a longtime broadcaster, and widely considered to be an all around "good guy".
