Who was the last Brooklyn Dodger pitcher to start a game at Ebbets Field?

He won too, tossed a shutout.

I'm just guessing. I'll say Don Drysdale. He threw a number of shutouts in that last year at Ebbets. Had a very low ERA and like 17-18 wins.

Guess #2 -- Johnny Podres

Guess #3 - Don Newcombe

Guess #4 - Roger Craig

Don't think it was Erskine because he pitched sparingly in 1957. I'm guessing they probably had shut Koufax down at that stage.

I'll tell you who it shoulda been! Tommy Lasorda (yes, he was back with Brooklyn in that last season). He'd still be telling that tale.

Nope. Less well known than Podres, Newk, or Craig. '57 was his rookie year and his best: 7-4 3.25 ERA (yes I had to look THAT up). He later had a brief stint with NYY.

If memory serves, his '60 Topps card was pink (not terribly common).

The Dodgers had several pink cards that season.  Was he Larry Sherry?

Rookie in '57, huh?  I was thinking Eddie Roebuck or Don Bessent but ... they came up before 1957 and were predominantly relievers. Afraid I'm gonna have to give up on this one without even more clues.

Sep 24, 1957. Bklyn 2 - Pitt 0. McDevitt allowed 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9.
